KERRY Sustainable Energy Co-operative (KSEC) and Tralee Tidy Towns will welcome members of the public to a free energy clinic on Saturday, January 20 from 1pm-5.30pm at the Rose Hotel Tralee.
The public can meet various renewable energy companies, related businesses and some individuals who have already completed work on a full retrofit, installation of heat pump/ solar energy and more.
This free energy clinic is especially relevant for those Interested in improving the energy efficiency at home or in a small business and wondering about the first steps.
You can also learn about grants available, get help on a retrofit journey, learn how to reduce energy bills and about reducing your carbon footprint.
Sylvia Thompson of KSEC said: “This is a great opportunity for people wishing to explore energy improvement options; to meet energy businesses and other partners such as: BillGenie.ie, Kerry Credit Unions, Chadwicks, Energywise Ireland, Gilroy’s Green Energy Ltd., Kingdom Installation Ltd., Wind Water Solar Energy Systems Ltd. as well as other participants with retrofit experience.”
Anne Marie Fuller of Tralee Tidy Towns said: “there will be information available to take away for those who’d like to do some research but there will also be an option to book a slot to discuss with an expert to get an estimate of cost of works with grants included or a consultation with companies who can undertake the work. We’re also advising those with BERs and MPRN to bring them along.”
